Seed Library

  • You must be a Regina Public Library cardholder to borrow seeds.
  • There is a limit of five seed packets per household.
  • The Seed Library is available from March to October.
  • Visit our Prince of Wales Branch to see what’s available.
  • Bring your library card!
  • Go to the service desk to check out your seeds, where staff will check them out for you.
  • The types and quantity of seed packages are constantly changing, so check back later if you don’t find what you’re looking for!
  • Donations can be dropped off at any branch, in a sealed bag, labeled with the seed type and when harvested or bought.
  • We accept the following:
    • Commercial seed packages, unopened or left over.
    • Seeds for vegetables, flowers, herbs, and native species.
    • Seeds you have harvested, cleaned, and dried.
  • We do not accept Genetically Modified Seeds (GMO) or any species on the Saskatchewan Noxious Weed list.
