Public Relations Representative - Summer Student Opportunity

Reporting to the Lead, Adult and Young Adult Programming, the successful candidates will represent RPL at community events and library programs, engaging with the public to promote the library and its innovative programs, collections, and services. 

Work will include aiding in the facilitation of summer programs to library customers of all ages and abilities, coordinating and participating in free activities at community events (e.g. National Indigenous Peoples Day, RPL Family Fun Zone at Canada Day, I Love Regina Day, etc.), and developing content to promote these activities through social and traditional media. Other projects include providing research and administrative support in the planning and implementation of library services, programs and community outreach initiatives.

Community Librarian, Central (permanent, full-time)

Reporting to an assigned Branch Manager, the Community Librarian provides service to the public, meeting established Library strategic objectives and service standards. The Community Librarian is part of a team that includes branch staff and the Community Engagement and Programming Unit (CEP), dedicated to providing inclusive, relevant, high quality customer-focused service in the assigned communities. The Community Librarian supervises the assigned programming staff and participates in the implementation of new services or service changes within the library through project and team assignments.

Writer in Residence

Regina Public Library invites applications from accomplished Canadian writers for the position of Writer in Residence. The successful candidate will work with Regina Public Library to schedule and deliver individual consultations, in-person or online writing workshops and in-person or online community and school visits. The remaining time will be devoted to personal writing projects. 

40-week residency: September 2, 2025 - June 22, 2026

Page
The Page performs various duties related to physical maintenance of the library collections including shelving, conducting inventory, and pulling specified items for holds or withdrawal.

Public Service Clerk 
The Public Service Clerk performs a variety of public service duties including circulation, reference and reader's advisory services, and maintaining records related to the operation of library services to the public.

Customer Service Associates
Our Customer Service Associates reach out and connect with our customers to support the joy of reading, lifelong learning, and growth. They are welcoming and knowledgeable guides to technology throughout the library. Our Customer Service Associates deliver enriching library experiences for all customers by hosting library programs, providing programming support, and promoting the library and its value at activities and events in the library and out in the community.

Reference and Programming Assistant
The Reference and Programming Assistant provides reference, reader's advisory services, and circulation services to the public, and provides technological support to patrons using library services. In cooperation with system Programming Leads, develops, delivers and evaluates library programs.
